1. Texas Rental-Purchase Agreements Act (1985)

This act was established in by the Texas Legislature in 1985 in the Texas Business and Commerce Code. It currnently resides in the title and chapter of the code shown below. 2. Liability Damage Waivers (2003)

SB 279 amended, which was the 2003 sunset bill for the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, established provisions for Loss Damage Waivers on rental-purchase agreements.

3. Late Fee Legislation (2005)

SB 709 amended the Texas Business and Commerce Code to increase late fees.
